The Science Museum has relocated its outstanding national collection documenting the development of science and technology. The collection contains rare scientific and technical books dating from the 1400s onwards, early science journals from major societies and academies, historic British patents, manufacturers' trade catalogues and other special collections. Amongst many fascinating manuscript letters, personal papers, business records and technical drawings in the Archives are those of such well-known names as Barnes Wallis and Charles Babbage.
