Dear mail users I am a new member in this list. My name is Shaenandhoa García-Rangel. I am a PhD candidate at the Wildlife Research Group, University of Cambridge. My Thesis project is focused on developing a habitat-use model for the Andean bear population in Sierra de Portuguesa, north-east end of the Venezuelan Andes. Currently, I am working on the generation a land cover map of my study site, and I am developing a Scene Model to assess the most suitable set of images. I am looking for some guidance on appropriate Quantization levels and Dynamic Range, so far I have only found values for marsh and coastal areas. My site is a mountainous area in the Andes, where the main land cover classes are primary and secondary forest cover, agriculture and small urban areas...
