should have read your post fully, I also wrote a batch script (which launches dialog boxes) so that our helpdesk/post athens librarians can check the shib status of an account (staff/student/member/etc) and modify if needs be.

I'll have to dig it up, but be warned it does require them to have an xserver somewhere handy.

Do you have anything at a stage thats shareable?  I guess that there's going to be a lot of re-inventing the wheel if we all do one.  How about a central repository for this kind of stuff?  (I have memories of asking for this before for IdP configurations)
