'iGuides' from StreetAccess project

The ‘iGuides’ from StreetAccess project has been running at the V&A since June 2006.  Its aim has been to design custom-made, interactive web based trails, which design students in higher education (HE) can use to explore the museum’s collections. These trails use the ‘iGuides’ from StreetAccess software programme ( www.streetaccess.co.uk) and are accessed in the V&A’s galleries using Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs). The project is managed by a small team based at the V&A.

The project has been supported by the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning through Design (CETLD), a partnership between the V&A, the Royal College of Art (RCA), the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the University of Brighton.

We are looking for a consultant to undertake the summative stage of this project's evaluation. If you are interested in undertaking this audience research, please review the attached brief.

The deadline for proposals is Wednesday 9th July 2008, and the final report is due at the end of September 2008.
