Hi Ed, We are using a Viscotek DLS902. It seems to be robust against all types of user- and sample-unfriendliness…. So we’re quite happy at the moment. The advantage of the system is, that you can use standard cuvettes e.g. fluorescence 3-window-cuvettes from Hellma with standard window heights. To get a nice signal we usually use black quarz cuvettes with approx. 70-100µl volume. We also use the 12µl cuvettes which are nice to have in case of lack of sample - but also hard to clean. I think there’s also a model for 96well quarz-plates available… č here’s the URL: http://www.viscotek.com/dlsdet-sw.aspx If you want to have more info about the 902, just write me a direct email… HTH gregor --- Dr. Gregor Witte Genecenter, University of Munich (LMU) AG Hopfner, Room A4.20 Feordor-Lynen-Str. 25 D-81377 Munich Tel. +49 (0)89 - 2180-76986 (Lab) Tel. +49 (0)89 - 2180-76842 (Office) Fax.+49 (0)89 - 2180-76999 mail: [log in to unmask] web: www.lmb.uni-muenchen.de/hopfner/welcome.html Von: CCP4 bulletin board [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Im Auftrag von Thomas Edwards Gesendet: Dienstag, 8. Could people suggest which they like the best and/or which is best value? I have in the past used a Protein Solutions Dyna Pro with micro cuvette (I would like a micro cuvette option). However, it was very sensitive to dust and bubbles, and the cuvette collects dust… I’ve never tried the one from Precision Detectors. Any other options?
