Aims and Objectives
This training event is jointly organised by the Liverpool University 
Centre for Archive Studies and the Society of Archivists North West 
Region. The afternoon session will give delegates the following: news and 
advice from school projects around the region, an insight into the role of 
an archives education officer, an introduction to the new MLA tool for 
finding schools and keeping records of school contacts, and input from 
teachers. The course will be of interest to archivists, archives 
assistants and all those in archives with an education or outreach remit.
Following the course will be the annual drinks reception to welcome new 
LUCAS students to the region, with regional SoA members and the national 
SoA council in attendance.
