LifeScan Scotland is a world leader in the fast growing blood glucose monitoring market, serving diabetes patients across the world. A vacancy has arisen for a Statistician, based in Inverness, to provide statistical support to all areas of the company, including Operations, R&D, Clinics and Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities:
	*	Day-to-day support for product testing teams 
	*	Analysis of test results 
	*	Trend analysis of test results 
	*	Generation of reports as required 
	*	Identify opportunities for continuous improvement 
	*	Raise potential product performance issues with rest of team 
	*	Project team member as required 
	*	Analysis and preparation of reports with recommendations on product release 
Essential Criteria:
	*	Degree qualification in statistics / related qualification 
	*	Experience with relational databases 
	*	Experience of SPSS 
	*	Report writing 
	*	Mathematical modelling of complex systems 
	*	Ability to summarise and present data, calculate standard errors, confidence intervals and perform test of significance 
	*	Carry out regression analysis - including fitting and checking of both linear and non - linear regression models 
	*	Building ANOVA models (analysis of variance) 
	*	SPC analysis - including product monitoring, trend analysis and sampling methodologies 
	*	Develop, perform and analyse designed experiments (using for example full and fractional or taguchi designs) 
Desirable Criteria:
	*	Experience working in a large scale-manufacturing environment.
