Senior Lecturer/Reader

We are looking for an experienced senior non-clinical academic researcher to lead 
research in the area of health and disease across the life-course. You will: lead the 
Health and Social Surveys Research Group, support the consolidation and expansion 
of research using survey data, help develop the strategy of harnessing the wide range 
of public health, biological and social science expertise within UCL to promote an 
integrated understanding of the factors governing changes in health and functioning 
and the maintenance of population health, and carry a teaching, research and 
administrative load equivalent to other HEFCE-funded academic staff. We have a 
commitment to UCL's tradition of interdisciplinary research and candidates should be 
interested in innovative and challenging teaching. 

Applicants should have a national reputation in research on population health, and 
interests in ageing, health inequalities and in ethnicity and health would be 
advantageous. 

Starting salary will be on the UCL grade 9 - £48,046 per annum to £52,255 per 
annum inclusive of London Allowance (progression to £58,482 per annum 
including London Allowance possible subject to performance.)
