A qualified archivist is required to catalogue the papers of Baroness Lucy Faithfull (1910-1996) at St. Hilda's College, Oxford.  Baroness Faithfull had a career in social work, the last sixteen years of which were spent in Oxford, first as a Children's Officer and then as Director of Social Services to Oxford City Council.  She was created a Life Peer in 1975 and gained national recognition as a campaigner in the House of Lords for social work issues.  The collection at St. Hilda's is predominantly correspondence and papers relating to her House of Lords work and the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, but also includes photographs and some personal material.  The postholder may also be required to list other collections if the Faithfull collection is completed within the contracted period. 

Applicants should have a first degree and a postgraduate archives qualification.  Keyboard skills and familiarity with Adlib software would be an advantage.  The post is available for eight weeks at 35 hours per week or part time pro rata. 
Salary:  £22,165 per annum pro rata
Lunch is provided on working days
