'Dw i'n cymryd mai o "GyrA" y cawsoch "cyfareddwr". Edrychwch ar ystyr "2",
lle mae "Cost." yn golygu "Costume". Yr ystyr a roddir yno yw "sgarf".
Mae'r disgrifiad isod (
http://www.cufflinksandtiaras.com/index.asp?action=page&name=3&subname=2) yn
ei wneud yn glir mae "pensgarff ysgafn" ydyw, ac mae'r llun wedyn yn awgrymu
y gall hefyd fod yn het fechan gyda "veil". Syniad yr enw, mae'n debyg, yw
bod y peth yn cuddio a datgelu'r un pryd. Efallai bydd y cyfieithiad yn
dibynnu ar y cyd-destun. I mi, mae'n air hen ffasiwn iawn, a doeddwn i ddim
yn sylweddoli bod pobl yn dal i'w ddefnyddio. Gallaf ddychmygu'r hen Gymry
yn son am "ffasinetor" neu rywbeth tebyg!

Nid yw hyn yn ateb pendant, ond efallai bydd yn rhoi syniadau ichi.

Did you know the word fascinator as described in the dictionary, means “One
that fascinates or a woman’s head scarf.” Some definitions describe the head
scarf as “a woman's lightweight head scarf usually of crochet or lace”.
Others describe with a little more detail “a light scarf, usually woven or
crocheted, worn about a woman's head and neck”. No matter they describe
fascinators, each definition seems very much the same. However the one that
appeals the best to me is; “a person or object that captures attention,
charms, or allures”. This last definition completely describes what a
fascinator is all about! They certainly capture the attention of on looking
admirers.

Fascinator or decorative hair comb is a must for anyone not too keen on
wearing hats. Hats are beautiful, but unfortunately they do not suit
everyone and you have to have the right face to be able to carry off a hat
well! A Fascinator will suit just about anyone and as they sit close to the
head and do not cover the entire area of the head, the frame of the face is
not distorted and therefore those of whom have trouble wearing hats will
find a fascinator a much better solution. They come in all shapes and sizes.
Some with netting, many with feathers and often with sparkles like
rhinestones or other crystals. They can be small and neat or much bigger and
taller, making a definite statement! There are many different colours to
choose from so there is bound to be a fascinator or decorative hair comb to
go with any outfit.

At one time, you would never not see a hat at a wedding or a christening.
Years ago it was a sign of politeness to cover your head whilst in church,
this tradition has been kept for many years, as weddings traditionally were
held (and still are) in many churches. Wearing a hat became more of a
traditional fashion attire. However as the years have gone by, many of us
have been more outspoken, and many have insisted on not wearing hats as they
feel ridiculous in them! That’s why fascinators have now become so popular
over the last five years. They still enable many of us to follow tradition,
whilst feeling very comfortable in the knowledge that we look and feel
great!

If you have a hat fear, then a fascinator is for you and even if you look
fantastic in hats, you’re bound to look even better in a fascinator!

If you’ve never tried a fascinator before, now is the time to do so.
Fascinators are at the moment the most fashionable hair accessory you can
find for any wedding or christening. Go on treat yourself to a fascinator!
