> GIRES is preparing a paper for publication in a professional journal: 
"Gender Dysphoria, Transsexualism and Transgenderism: Incidence, Prevalence and 
Growth in the UK and the Implications for the Commissioners and Providers of 
Healthcare".  GIRES wishes healthcare professionals to be aware of and make plans 
for the rapid growth in the numbers of adults and young people presenting for 
treatment and has therefore published the abstract of the paper at:

> The Royal Society of Medicine is arranging a meeting in London on 1 October 
2008 to discuss: "Gender identity disorder in adolescents".  Information
