The Medical College of Wisconsin and the Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee are opening a brand new MEG lab this fall (November 2008). The laboratory will consist of a state-of-the-art MEG system with 306-channels dedicated to both innovative clinical evaluations of neurological patients and basic cognitive neuroscience research in direct interaction with the research groups based in local and regional institutions. The laboratory will also benefit from direct connections with the Functional Imaging Research Center at MCW, where MRI research expertise and scanners are available.

The new laboratory is seeking for a post-doc fellow who is interested in the dynamical aspects of brain functions from both the experimental and methodological viewpoints. The ideal candidate would enjoy working in a highly-interacting research and clinical environment and addressing exciting challenges to the most recent techniques for time-resolved functional brain imaging. His/her profile and background could identically consist of a solid experience in signal/image analysis or advanced visualization with an open-mind on neuroscience applications, or solid experience in experimental or theoretical neuroscience with an open-mind on methodological aspects of data analysis. Skills in Matlab are a plus.

The candidate will work in direct collaboration with Sylvain Baillet, who will be running the new MEG centre and the associated research group (see http://cogimage.dsi.cnrs.fr/perso/sbaillet for current information and projects). Current and running collaborations include e.g. the University of Southern California, The A. Martinos Centre at Massachusetts General Hospital, the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Neurospin and the Cognitive Neuroscience and Brain Imaging Lab. in Paris.
