Nowgen (A Centre for Genetics in Healthcare) has secured funding to
develop a small temporary exhibition to be ready for October 2008. We
are looking for support to help us work through the process of
designing, building and installing this exhibition. We expect this
project will involve about 60 days work between June - October 2008.

We anticipate that the exhibition will be approximately 50m2 and that it
will be designed to move between different venues. It will explore
changes in healthcare using personal accounts from local people. The
exhibition will be based on visual imagery and stories and is likely to
integrate a variety of media, such as film, photography and interactive
computers. We do not anticipate that the display of historical artefacts
will make-up a significant part of this exhibition.

We are seeking a freelance exhibition designer / developer to work with
the Nowgen team and external partners on this project with immediate
effect. S/he will need to be able to advise on the feasibility of ideas
and guide us through the process of developing this exhibition. The
Nowgen team will contribute significantly to researching topics, writing
scripts, sourcing films, etc.

Any individuals or companies interested in working on this project,
please email Kate Mathieson on [log in to unmask] by 11th June
with a CV, a daily rate and a brief outline setting out their particular
strengths/relevant experience.
