Hi Glenn

DDA is likely to apply as regardless of cause, these symptoms may have a signicant and long-term impact on activities of daily living, similar to someone with epilepsy (even if caused by psychological condition). It is not the diagnosis that is important but the effect on daily life. There are also possible health and safety implications. If person has warning of an attack more able to put himself into a safe situation. Obviously, knowing the cause may benefit trying to treat/manage the problem.
Kind regards
