Venue Manager:  Cambridge Central Library

AJF 3: £23,749 –£25,320

Fixed term contract, initially for 2 years with the possibility of 
extension.

With a prime location in the heart of the fabulous brand new Grand Arcade 
shopping centre in the middle of historic Cambridge, the newly refurbished 
Central Library, opening soon, will offer an outstanding environment for a 
range of corporate, public and community events and activities.
This is your opportunity to develop this brand new area of business for 
us.  You will work with staff at Central Library, building an excellent 
and responsive team capable of meeting the needs of diverse groups in the 
local community. In addition, you will assist colleagues with county-wide 
responsibilities, who need to deliver a wide range of library based events 
and activities in the central library.  You will also be responsible for 
developing existing partnerships and forging new ones.
So, excellent management and motivational skills and the IT skills to 
carry out the role successfully are crucial. You will also have experience 
of marketing and managing events, ideally gained within an arts 
environment. 
Experience of public libraries while desirable, is not essential.  Please 
note that evening, Saturday and Sunday working will be required on a rota 
basis.
