Keynote Speakers:

Mick Healey is Professor of Geography and Director of the Centre for Active Learning at the University of

Gloucester. He has published extensively in Geography but his main research area is now learning and teaching in

HE HE. Mick has led several major government funded projects, and he is Co-Director of an ESRC project on

“Enhancing the quality and outcomes of disabled students’ learning in higher education”. He will speak on

'disability and learning difference'.

Glynis Cousin is shortly to take up post at the University of Wolverhampton as Director of the Institute for

Learning Enhancement and of the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (Enabling Achievement within a

Diverse Student Body). Glynis has worked on a number of national and international higher education research and

evaluation projects and is currently completing a book on higher education research methods. She will speak on

racial diversity and inclusivity in HE.
