Milestones - Hampshire's living history museum - uses audioguides as
part of its interpretation. There's no set route through the museum
(recreated Victorian and 30s/40s streets) and there's an option to get a
deeper level of information for some objects and displays too, so it's
nicely layered.

They also have an audioguide programme for KS1, lower KS2 and upper KS2
pupils which is linked to the National Curriculum. They offer Victorians
for KS1 and 2, and Britain Since 1930 for KS2. Victorians has 5 topics
(or you can mix and match from across the topics to make your own
programme) and Britain Since 1930 has 2 (again, you can choose from
across both to make your own programme). I think the scripts for the
programmes are available on the school part of their website.

Subject: Audio tours

Dear All

Does anyone know of or have a good podcast or audio tour that
specifically deals with their permanent displays? And are they
available on the internet?

Many thanks
Claire
