Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone can enlighten me on this sticky area. We have collections of OS maps for our area and I was wondering what the position on copying for schools was.

I used to work in a place where we could make multiple copies of pre-war OS maps for schools. I'm not sure if this was to do with copyright or the OS licence that schools hold. Now I am somewhere else unsure of the rules, but being told I can make 1 copy of a map for schools but anymore and OS will come down on me like a tonne of bricks (whether the maps in copyright or not).

Can anyone clarify the rules?

Cheers

Trudie
