Hello everyone,

The STEM Directories website has now been active for over 3 weeks, and we have had over 130 schemes and activities registered. Thank you to all of you that have registered your organisations and your schemes and activities. We are very excited about the difference we will make both to our STEM community and to science, mathematics and design & technology teachers and lecturers up and down the country.

There is now less than 1 week left until our closing date for entries, Monday 16th June, so please do take the time to go online and input your organisation details and scheme/activity information before it is too late.

We look forward to hearing from you.

THE STEM DIRECTORIES

BE PART OF THE LARGEST PROJECT OF ITS KIND

Take part in the largest project in the UK to enthuse teachers and students about science, technology, engineering and maths.

Help us to help teachers shape the future for STEM. Input details about your scheme or activity online at www.stemdirectories.org.uk now.

Do you run a scheme or activity which excites young people about science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics (STEM)?

Does it enable teachers at schools and colleges across the UK to provide opportunities to deliver relevant additional content to the school or college curriculum?

Do you feel that your scheme or activity can help teachers make a positive contribution to engaging more young people to consider STEM education post-16 or to create a more STEM-literate society?

What are the STEM Directories?

A unique resource of three volumes - Science, Engineering & Technology and Mathematics - signposting STEM schemes and activities across the UK for teachers and lecturers in schools and colleges.

Why should you include your scheme in the Directories?

1.Reach your target audience, teachers and lecturers at schools and colleges across the UK regularly, starting from the autumn of 2008 through a medium that we know they want.

2. It's absolutely free.

3. Increase the reputation of your scheme or activity by association with the endorsement and leadership of key players in the STEM Community, including The Royal Academy of Engineering, the 36 Engineering Institutions, the Association of Science Education, SCORE and ACME.

4. Benefit from a project that is backed by Government (Department for Children, Schools and Families and Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills).

5. Share in the understanding of research conducted with teachers about what they need and want from schemes and activities.

6. Learn from peers about how to improve your scheme or activity through conducting evaluation with your target audiences.

Register your scheme or activity now at www.stemdirectories.org.uk

Closing Date for entries: Monday 16 June 2008
