it's worse....

and unlike nightclubbing,  if you get turned away from that 'club' there is 
nothing else like it in the same street as an alternative venue....

there are dark and i suppose I should say paranoid rumours that since the 
library staff at the Warburg are often PhD students of the institutive it is 
done to keep outside people away from areas that are being researched 
in-house....

but I feel that is largely smoke, it is much more likely they are just 
scared-embarrassed by what they have in the collection and are not up to the 
task of regulating access to it in a consistent manner and by following 
their own rules
