Hi Caroline,

We're thrilled to have Nevill at our conference! He has done so much
interesting stuff - makes me feel like a rank amateur.

Helen, I see on your conference CFP that Nevill Drury has just done a PhD on
Rosaleen Norton. That sounds interesting. I presume it'll become a book
forthwith.

That gives me encouragement:

1. for oldsters like me doing PhDs (although Drury is *much* older than me!
;-).

2. It'll be good for more information to be around about Rosaleen Norton,
particularly pertinent considering the current brou-ha-ha over Bill Henson's
photography, I mean in regards to Norton having had her artwork censored as
well, back in the day.

3. And aren't there just 'wonderful things' [as said Howard Carter when he
opened Tutankhaum's tomb] being looked at under the broad category of 'The
Academic Study of Magic'.. Just so many wonderful things.
