We are seeking 5 enthusiastic researchers with relevant research experience to join our 18 month research project funded by the Scottish Government.  The project is part of the Government's Hepatitis C Action Plan for Scotland and will be carried out in collaboration with Health Protection Scotland (HPS). The aim of the study is to advance our understanding of transmission of the hepatitis C virus among injecting drug users and the impact of harm reduction programmes.

You will be responsible for recruiting and interviewing injecting drug users in health board areas proximate to your base location. You will also contribute to data analysis and report writing.

Successful candidates will be educated to honours degree level in a social science or related discipline, coupled with some previous research experience particularly in interview techniques and quantitative research methods.  Some knowledge of drug use and/or blood borne viruses would also be an advantage.
