Hello all, Further to this - slightly further down the accomodation page on the HLG site there is a link to the Cardiff Uni accomodation office. You can get a centrally located ensuite sans breakfast through them for a shade over £25. I understand more than a few folk from the conference will be staying there. At the risk of enraging the list police, a mildly off-topic comment on the HLG conference - the Cardiff conference accommodation service seems to show some hotels booked up, but in one case at least the hotel's own web site (in my case Royal Hotel) shows availability, and at cheaper prices.
