Dear all,

Many thanks to those who replied to my questions.  To summarise, the general consensus seems to be as follows:

1.    Information from 'official documents' does not need to be retyped to the specified font size, as long as it is legible

2.    Where unpublished documents have been quoted from, this should be clearly acknowledged although they do not
have to be cited in as much detail as published ones.

3.    Page numbers in different places are unavoidable where documents in a variety of formats have been included.

Best wishes,
Andrew.

Subject: Loose ends

Dear all,

I think I'm almost ready to submit my portfolio, but I just have one or two loose ends to tidy up first and a couple of questions:

1.  If including information from 'official documents' in the portfolio (eg job description, library service's operational plan etc), does this have to be retyped in 12pt text size as well, or is it OK to include it 'as is'?

2.  How much detail does one have to go into when citing unpublished material, as in the examples above?

3.  A much more basic question - I have included word documents in both portrait and landscape format.  When numbering them this means that some of the numbers appear at the 'bottom' of the page, and some at the 'side'.  Does this actually matter?  I'd be very grateful if anyone could let me know.

Many thanks,

Andrew Orr
