I spoke laast night on the phone to Mr. Coles at Yarl's Wood. He said the family should be released this morning he hopes! They want an address where the family will be staying. They then have to get the permission of the Immigration and Boarders Agency for them to stay at that address. They can, if they want to, do this straight away , especially as we have someone ready to go and collect them. Given Jason's urgent need to go to hospital, according to his haematologist and his parents, Yarl's Wood and the Agency aught to rush this through. They have no reason to keep the family there one moment longer, other than bureaucracy and they have very strong humanitarian imperatives to make an effort and let them go now! Please keep up the pressure on Yarls Wood and the Immigration and Boarders Agency - which apparently works all hours of the day and night - not least 6.00am on Sunday mornings! To call Yarl's Wood - and be prepared to be fobbed off in a less than courteous way - call 01234 8213000. To call the Immigration and Boarders Agency telephone 01709 501800 The argument is now very straight forward. They can now lawfully release them. The children are ill and need hospital treatment. Why are they still in custody? "Can you release them now?" If not, when? Why the delay? Claude knows where he and his family are returning to in Sheffield - so let them go now!
