Notes
are now available that summarise and draw some conclusions from an event that
took place at the British Library on April 7th: What to Preserve? Significant Properties
of Digital Objects. The notes have been written by Frances Boyle (Digital
Preservation Coalition) and are available on the JISC website. There is a link
to the relevant page on the recently started JISC Information Environment Blog,
which features information and comment submitted by members of the JISC
Repositories and Preservation team.
The
'significant properties' posting also incorporates a quick update from Neil
Grindley (JISC Preservation Programme Manager) about 'next steps' for work in
the sig props area.
