How to Practise Evidence-Based Child Health: Focus on Paediatric Infectious Diseases
3 day short course, 11-13 June 2008

Centre for Evidence-based Child Health, UCL Institute of Child Health, London

This evidence based course is for health care professionals and others who want to improve their clinical or research skills and learn more about using best available evidence in their every day practice. The theme of the course this year is paediatric infectious diseases and we will examine evidence underpinning recent guidelines relevant to this topic.             .

Participants will examine some of the evidence underpinning guidelines and debate their interpretation. They will also consider how to incorporate the best available evidence on interventions and diagnosis into their clinical decisions and the information they give to patients.

The course involves a mix of interactive plenary and facilitated small group sessions, combined with training in searching and support for self-directed searching.

Venue:  Institute of Child Health, London
Cost: £450
