Thanks for your Peter, This tool is a customisation from Blackboard. It gets installed as a Building Block on the system. We heard Blackboard mention it last week during a conference call, but they have not followed up with any more information. It certainly would seem to solve our problem whereby lecturers need to copy resources in multiple locations, for courses that have separate codes for the same cohort of students. Has anyone else experience of this "Course Merge" tool? By default, Blackboard courses are created for all active course at our institution. However, if a lecturer teaches a group of students collectively who register under different course codes, they will have a separate course shell for each of these modules. We would find it very helpful to merge some or all of such classes into a single Blackboard course. We have heard this may be possible using a Merge tool, accessible from the Control Panel. (e.g. link to a New York University that uses this tool: http://qcpages.qc.edu/edtech/BlackBoard/InstructorCourseMergeTool.htm ). Have any of you used this course merge tool before? If so, we would love to hear from you about your experiences. Please feel free to contact me directly. Many thanks, Fiona P.S. We are currently using the Blackboard Learning System(tm) - Enterprise License (7.2.383.0). __________________________________________ Fiona Concannon Learning Technologist Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) National University of Ireland, Galway Ireland TEL: +353 - 91 - 49 5630 EMAIL: [log in to unmask] WEB: http://www.nuigalway.ie/celt ___________________________________________
