Band D £13,336 - £14,482 per annum

We are looking for two graduates wishing to gain relevant work experience prior to taking a post-graduate qualification in Archive Administration.

The County Record Office looks after Warwickshire’s historic archives, with records dating back to the 12th century.  Our busy public service welcomes two hundred or so visitors per week, helping family and local historians with their research.


This post is one of several which make up the Record Office’s Public Service team.  We are looking for two archive assistants with good communication skills and a commitment to delivering a high quality public service.  You will work on a rota basis as a receptionist, a document production assistant, and help our visitors to use the public computers.

You will need to have a level of physical fitness to enable you to lift and carry documents on a daily basis from the strongrooms around the weight of 10kg.

The normal working week will be Monday to Friday.  However, the successful applicants will be expected to work some Saturdays from 8.45 – 12.45 (enhanced pay), taking time off in lieu on a Monday.
