FACULTY OF HEALTH THE RESEARCH INSTITUTE FOR PRIMARY CARE & HEALTH SCIENCES Research Assistant: Health Service Research Grade 6a (starting salary £25,888) 2 Year Fixed Term A highly motivated Research Assistant is required to join a successful team of researchers. You will undertake a scoping exercise to determine the breadth of current knowledge on delays in the cancer care pathway from the community to secondary care and on the factors associated with delay. Following this you will produce a narrative review summarising the evidence and a focused systematic review on a key area identified by the scoping exercise. The project also includes analysis of routinely collected consultation data in primary care to further inform knowledge on delays. As well as a report to the funding body, you will contribute to writing up the systematic review for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presenting the findings at conferences. You will have a degree in a relevant subject, with knowledge and experience in literature searching and critical appraisal.
