Workshop on Statistics and Biostatistics: Manchester-Tampere Workshop A 2-day workshop is organised by the Statistics Group, School of Mathematics, The University of Manchester Thursday 29th – Friday 30th May 2008 at G.209 Alan Turing Building, School of Mathematics, The University of Manchester Closing date for registration: Friday 23rd May 2008 The workshop will focus on recent developments in statistical methodology with application to medical and environmental studies. Special attention will be paid to nonparametric smoothing, experimental design and longitudinal data modelling with application to medical and environmental practices. The workshop will bring together researchers in Statistics and Biostatistics in The University of Manchester, UK and University of Tampere, Finland, and to exchange research ideas and strengthen research collaborations. Participants from any universities/institutes are also very welcome.
