Call for Chapter Proposals for an Edited Collection on Peace Building and Reconciliation in Northern Ireland

Chapter proposals are sought for an edited collection on Peace Building and Reconciliation in Northern Ireland. This collection will examine the different forms of peace and reconciliation work that have taken place in Northern Ireland since the late 1960s.  Such work ranges from local cross-community groups to large-scale peace movements and is broadly defined.   Chapter proposals could examine any of the following areas

·         History of Peace building in Northern Ireland

·         Women and Peace Building

·         Integrated Education

·         Community Development

·         Theoretical Approaches to Peace building

·         Cross-Border Co-Operation

·         The Role of Non-Governmental Organisations

·         Case Studies of specific Peace Building Organisations

·         Young People and Peace Building

·         Government Policy

·         International Comparisons

 

This list is illustrative and submissions are welcome on all relevant topics.

 

Please submit a proposal of 500-750 words and brief biographical statement to Maria Power at [log in to unmask] by Friday 20th June 2008. A publisher will then be sought for the collection and full chapters will be due for submission in late 2008.
