Trinity College Dublin The University of Dublin School of Engineering Lectureships (2) in Civil, Structural & Environmental Engineering (permanent) The Department of Civil, Structural & Environmental Engineering in the School of Engineering invites applications for two Lectureship posts. It is expected that the appointments will be in fields which build on Trinity College Dublin’s strategic research theme areas of transport, environment and energy, but applications are invited from all fields within civil engineering. Applicants should have a strong research background in engineering and will be expected to actively engage in research, be successful in attracting research funding, lecture on the undergraduate and postgraduate lecturing programme of the Department, and contribute to departmental administration. Candidates should hold a Ph.D., have previous lecturing and supervisory experience, and/or relevant experience in industry. The appointments, which will be tenable from 1st October 2008 or sooner if possible will be offered on the Lecturer salary scale: €37,343- €75,365/€77,875-€85,599 per annum at a point to accord with qualifications and experience to date. The commencing salary will not exceed the 11th point of the Lecturer salary scale: €59,223 per annum.
