The only think I can think of is that I once read in a Touring Club Italiano guide (those marvelloously detailed red guides they have in Italy) that there is a relief showing the Adoration of the Magi in one of the side chapels or sacristy or something (not the Arnolfo sculptures). I never found it, though in my mind's eye I can picture the plan in the guide which suggested it was in one of the first chapels on the right. So if you should stumble across something like that I'd be interested to have a look. . Sta Maria Maggiore is pretty fabulous anyway, so worth dropping in on. But please don't put yourself out on my behalf.
