Dear Toby and all

I used to work for the IB as an exam setter so my understanding is that the IB might not be likely to hold Mandarin workshops in the UK in the near future.  I have noticed the growing demand on the Mandarin IB workshop and tried to invite my colleague – the current exam setter (ab initio – I assume that this is the most desirable area) to hold a workshop in the UK.  The setter basically agreed to do so if there is enough interest.  The date/s will be roughly in Sept/Oct 2008.  The workshop will not be an official IB workshop but the leader will be the current exam setter and an experienced workshop leader.

Could anyone who are interested in such a workshop let me know so we can set up a date soon?

There are some running in Hong Kong.  I know the person who is organising it.  Please get in touch if you want me to fwd any messages.

I don’t know about any IB training courses in the UK this year, but – all being well – there will be an IB workshop at least at the conference this year.

I already know about Athens based IB courses - was wondering if there were any in UK over the next few months.
