Dear Colleagues,

IAMLs Courses and Education Committee is organising the third

Music in Public Libraries Seminar

Venue: British Library, St. Pancras, London

Cost: £20.00 (to cover cost of catering lunch included) an invoice will be sent

Those of you who attended last year's seminar at Manchester Central Library

will remember how successful the event was - giving an opportunity for

aspects of music provision particularly relevant to the public library

sector to be discussed

This years programme is as follows -

10.00-10.30           Coffee/registration

10.30-10.45     Introductions

10.45-11.45     Set provision (funding models protection of “at risk” collections)

11.45-11.50     Break

11.50-12.30     Halle Partnership cross-sectoral partnership model involving Manchester Public Libraries, Halle Orchestra and Royal Northern College of Music

12.30-1.30      Lunch

1.30-2.30                 Supplier selection for music

Please make a note of the date in your diary - it would be great to see

as many public library staff involved in music provision attending as

possible
