This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished GIS web applications developer to become actively involved in designing, building and implementing a whole generation of web-based GIS & digital mapping applications that will empower those charged with the world’s conservation and environmental wellbeing.

 

The sort of profile we anticipate coming forward will be either a qualified conservation biologist who has gained practical experience of web-based development or a software engineer who has cross trained into an earth science or environmental discipline.

 

In either case the key experience we're looking for is:

 

·       Strong fluency in VB/C#.Net programming. Experience of Adobe ColdFusion is equally relevant

·       RDBMS design and implementation

·       XML schema definition

·       Demonstrable evidence of having built at least one non-trivial web application

 

You’ll be working with up to date ESRI technology and a portfolio of tools and platforms that will enhance your creative thinking.  Data is managed through SQL Server and several Oracle productivity tools.  You’ll be surrounded by some excellent brains who will stretch your abilities and provide the intellectual stimulation that your technical know-how can transform into world-class solutions.
