For further extra details please see; http://www.cam.ac.uk/cambuniv/disability/annlecture/index.html Dear colleague, Engaging Disabled People: Meeting the challenge of the Disability Equality Scheme Places are now available at the above event which will take place on Tuesday 29th April 2008 between 9.30am-4pm at St Johns College, Cambridge. This event will inspire and energise you to move forward with creative ways of engaging and working alongside disabled people, including staff, students and others. The event is organised by the Disability Resource Centre at the University of Cambridge, and St Johns College. The event will be chaired by Ray Jobling. There will be presentations from a number of experienced colleagues in the field, including a keynote presentation from Derek Child at the Open University. Four stimulating presentations will be followed by opportunities for further discussion and development. Places are available at a cost of £100 per person including lunch, refreshments and all materials. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible and parking is available for disabled delegates if booked in advance. Please contact me, [log in to unmask] with details of any other access needs. The workshop will be followed by a public lecture by Baroness Jane Campbell titled 'Fighting for a slice or for a bigger cake? Moving from identity politics to consensus action.' to which you would be most welcome. The lecture begins at 5pm and should last around 1.5 hours.
