English Heritage is looking for feedback from BASA
members
English Heritage plans to replace the
existing listing, scheduling and registration schemes with a new single
register of designated assets and historic sites. At present, these
designations are Listed Buildings; Scheduled Monuments; Protected Wreck Sites;
Registered Parks and Gardens; Registered Battlefields and Word Heritage Sites.
It is proposed that this register will combine the existing designation
information into a single resource.
As part of this work the National
Monuments Record is eager to understand how people wish to access and use this
new register. Jura Consultants has been commissioned by English Heritage to
undertake research into user needs. BASA members have been identified as
potential users of the register for research purposes, and we are therefore
keen to explore the views of BASA members.
We are proposing hosting a focus group for
BASA members on Wednesday 16th
April at 6.00pm in
The meeting should last approximately 1 ½
hours. Food and refreshments will be provided at the meeting, and travel
expenses will be reimbursed.
