Dear all. As promised, details of the Special Seating Awareness Day. Geoff Harbach RegBHTA LEPMIS Special Seating Awareness Day 9.30am - 5pm Thursday, 15th May 2008, Lichfield, Staffordshire Here is another opportunity to attend this very popular and informative full day's training that aims to increase knowledge and understanding on the basics of Special Seating in layman's terms. On this occasion the event will take place in Lichfield, Staffordshire (just off the M6 Toll Road) on Thursday, 15th May 2008. To attend this day your staff do not require any previous clinical experience, only a basic understanding and a desire to learn more about the needs of your customers and the broad range of products available to them in Special Seating. It will benefit receptionists through to workshop technicians providing a greater understanding of their own role within the team and within the bigger picture. The multi-disciplinary health professionals delivering this event are immensely experienced in Special Seating Clinics and will cover Posture and Pressure/Tissue Viability and the Main Disabilities of this Client Group during the day (please see the attached programme for further details). Please note that a Pre-course Study Pack will be provided at least 2 weeks before the event for each attendee to read prior to attending the Awareness Day. This will provide the opportunity to learn more about Basic Anatomy and Physiology including Neurology, Basic Bio-Mechanics, Pressure Ulcers and Tissue Viability. The Seating Awareness Day costs: £125 + VAT for members; and £175 + VAT for non-members.
