Hi,

We have Sharepoint in our school and we are starting to use the SLK "My
Assignment" webpart.

This has not been fully developed yet, but basically when the teacher
sets an assignment, the student receives an automatic email which tells
her she has an assignment to complete. When she has completed the
assignment she "hands it in" and it emails the teacher to alert him to
mark it. Once marked, the data is stored automatically within SQL on
the server so is available for future analysis.

Hope that helps

Subject: [VLES] E-submission: what do you do?

Dear all,
I need to get a quick overview of how other institutions tackle student
electronic submission of assignments and project work. If you have moved
to
some form of e-submission do you use tools bundled with your VLE,
perhaps
something like Turnitin, have you developed a tool in house or left it
up
to departments and faculties to develop their own systems?

Any and all information gratefully received:-)
bw
Hilary
