Of course my primary reference is to Kenneth Anger's film "Kustom Kar Komandos" (1965), but I did live across the street from a hamburger joint reportedly owned by the KKK while I was 
teaching at Philistine University.  Their costumed manifestations were more likely to be witnessed about forty miles away.

Right at this moment, one can immerse oneself in a body of over 200 works entitled "Klan Room Tableau" [warnings posted outside the entrance] in a sequestered room within a whole 
floor of the Katzen Museum at American University in Washington DC given over to the art of William Christenberry.  The museum's website does not provide any images of this aspect of 
Christenberry's work, but if you look elsewhere . . .
