My colleague in NHS 24 (Scottish equivalent of NHS Direct) is working on
a project looking at using NHS 24 as a gatekeeper to advise on dental
health and access to emergency dental services.

He is of course looking for the service to take into account the
particular needs of the major equality communities. In this context,
can anyone advise us of any data/research there is around access by BME
communities to dental services generally and emergency dental services
in particular that could be of use for this purpose?

Thanks very much for any suggestions.
