medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

Dear Michelle,

I think the most influential active scholar working on hagiography in
a language other than English (sounds like an Oscar category) is

(sound of envelope opening)

Sofia Boesch Gajano (Italian)

Also very useful is Réginald Grégoire, who has written a good manual
on hagiographical method (again, in Italian).

And don't forget the Bollandists (French), singly and collectively.

Best wishes,
George
