The conference takes place in Lund, Sweden on April 21-23, 2008, and aims to make an important contribution to the discussion and development within the area of scholarly communication. The theme for this year's conference is Openeness - Tools, Trade and Transparency, and the conference will focus on research evaluation, business models and text mining. Among the invited speakers is Melissa Hagemann, Program Manager at the Open Society Institute, John Wilbanks, Executive Director of Science Commons, Paul Peters, Head of Business Development for Hindawi Publishing Corporation, and Laurent Romary from the Max Planck Institute.
