Dear colleagues,

If you have ever wanted to work with artists in your museum but were not sure what it involved, this event could be for you

Delivering the West Sussex Big Heritage Draw 2007 Project:

Incorporating a practical workshop & launch of the West Sussex Big Heritage Draw DVD

Time: 10.00am to 3.45pm (including lunch)

Date: Monday 14th April

Venue:  Worthing Museum and Art Gallery

Cost: FREE

Find out from those involved how this event was developed and how you can encourage new audiences to connect with collections through working with artists.

The programme of the day includes presentations from West Sussex Arts and Creativity Officer Clare Halstead, Horsham artist Janine Creaye and Laura Kidner of Worthing Museum and Art Gallery. As well as the premier of the Big Heritage Draw, there will be opportunity for questions and comments plus a practical workshop with artist Steven Follen, giving you the skills deliver similar projects.

We’re also hoping that a representative from the Campaign for Drawing will also be present to tell us about Big Draw 2008 and the new Power Drawing initiative.
