Science Interactives Curator, £25k

 

 

We have created a new position within our Exhibitions Department, which will be responsible for the renewal and development of high quality, innovative, interactive exhibits and science content for the galleries here at Thinktank.

 

Duties will include exhibit renewals and development, working closely with internal teams and external designers and consultants, and also some content research, project management and administration tasks.

 

 

Among other skills and experience you will have:

·          A minimum of 3 years experience in an interactive museum or science centre environment

·          A degree or equivalent in a science-related subject. A post-graduate qualification in museum studies or science communication would be useful

·          Involvement in a successful museum or science centre capital development, including responsibility for liaising with and briefing designers and fabricators

·          Experience of project management, delivering on time, quality and budget, and ability to work well under pressure.

·          Experience of content research and evaluation during exhibit development

·          Experience of communicating science to a non-specialist audience
