NEUROIMAGING POST-DOCTORAL POSITION Phyllis Green and Randolph Cōwen Institute for Pediatric Neuroscience, NYU Child Study Center, New York University School of Medicine, Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry The Institute for Pediatric Neuroscience is currently recruiting a post-doctoral fellow interested in identifying and/or characterizing abnormalities in the neural substrates of fundamental cognitive processes, as related to psychiatric disorders commonly encountered in children and adolescents (e.g., ADHD, autism, pediatric anxiety disorders, Tourette's). We employ a developmental approach, examining changes in the brain's functional and structural connectivity from childhood to adolescence to adulthood. The fellow will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, integrating the findings of a broad spectrum of approaches including: - resting state functional MRI - diffusion tensor imaging - cortical thickness - voxel-based morphometry - task-based functional MRI - imaging studies in non-human primates - EEG/ERP’s Qualifications: The minimum qualifications for a successful candidate include: - completed PhD in cognitive neuroscience, cognitive psychology, or neuroscience - significant prior neuroimaging experience with functional and/or structural MRI (prior experience with EEG is a plus, but not required) - strong skills in usage of one or more common functional neuroimaging (FSL, SPM, AFNI) packages - programming experience in Matlab, C/C++ or similar platform How to apply: This is an electronic only application process.
