Research Associate in DEM Computational Soil Mechanics

Applicants are invited for the post of post-doctoral Research Associate within the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering at University College London. The specific EPSRC funded research is the Discrete Element Modelling of Transitional Soils. The successful applicant will undertake research into the numerical Discrete Element Method, DEM, to understand the framework of atypical soil behaviour using data of microscopic particle interactions. A PhD in a relevant subject area, or equivalent experience, is required.  You will have chance to supervise small-scaled research projects, and to work with external collaborators. There will also be opportunities to gain undergraduate teaching experience.
