Dear Colleagues,

Conference speakers and workshops now finalised for Gender Duty events

ECU, UCU, Unison, and the University of Leeds invite you to attend one of our free half day conferences ‘The Gender Equality Duty: achievements and challenges one year on’ on Wednesday 30th April and Friday 16th April in London and Leeds respectively. Please find the booking form and programmes attached.

The event will provide a platform for equalities practitioners, other interested staff members and union representatives to discuss how HEIs have dealt with challenges in implementing their Gender Equality Schemes and reporting back on progress. It will do this by encouraging discussion, giving participants practical advice, as well as demonstrating how universities can work in partnership with other agencies.

Please contact me if you would like more information and also to send your booking forms by email or fax by 31st March 2008. Feel free to forward this email on to other staff in HEIs who are involved in the implementation of their organisation’s gender equality schemes.

Best wishes,
